Wegovy is a weekly weight loss injection that we can supply after a consultation with one of our pharmacists. Before anything else, we look at your weight, your health and any other medicines, so that Wegovy is only offered when it is safe for you.
What Wegovy does
Wegovy contains semaglutide, which mimics a hormone your gut releases after eating. It signals to your brain that you are full, so hunger eases and cravings for fatty food often drop. It also has an effect on blood sugar.
Who it is for
- Adults with a BMI of 30 or above
- Adults with a BMI of 27 or above and a weight-related condition
- People who will combine treatment with healthier eating and more activity
How you take it
It comes as a pre-filled pen with 4 weekly doses. Pick a day that suits you, then inject into your tummy, thigh or upper arm once a week. We go through the pen with you before your first dose.
Gradual dose increase
You begin on 0.25mg once a week. Every 4 weeks, the dose can step up, through 0.5mg, 1.0mg and 1.7mg, to the full 2.4mg. Some people stay at a lower dose if they are doing well on it.

Your reviews
